
Guy Hopkins (associate conductor) studied at Oxford University, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Dartington International Summer School on the Audi Conductors' Masterclass under Diego Masson.
For Oratory Opera, he has conducted Così fan Tutte and, for Bampton Classical Opera: Orfeo, Don Giovanni, Alfred and Paisiello's Nina. For The Other Theatre Company: The Rape of Lucretia at Battersea Arts Centre, and the UK premiere of Samuel Barber's Vanessa at the Lyric, Hammersmith.
For CCO, among the distinguished soloists he has worked with are Joanna MacGregor, Douglas Cummings and Grigor Zhislin.
As director of music at Westminster School, he has conducted Rossini's Stabat Mater and the first London performance of Francis Grier's dramatic cantata Around the Curve of the World at Westminster Abbey.
Guy has been one of our regular conductors since 1995.
